Quick Tip on Overcoming Cooking Ruts!

How many days of the week are you dreading making dinner?

How many times have you thought, I have no idea what to cook?

It happens to everyone.

We get so caught in routines, and making the same things due to ease, we often start having negative thoughts around food. We start to dread meal prep, rather than enjoying it. We rush, we get annoyed, and the effects show in our meals. One tip I have to overcome this, and use ALL the time, is when in need of new inspiration, rather than spend 3 hours searching for new recipes online, go visit a new grocery store! This is my overcome all action plan. Every grocery store has different products, different layouts, different areas. Its like instant inspiration. Even if you think, that store is SO expensive, go isle “window” shopping. See what they have, even if its not in your budget, it could spark the ideas you need to overcome meal prep dread. In any given month I often will go to 4-5 different grocery stores. Now of course this tip only works if you live in an area that has more than one option, but even going on other grocery stores websites to see their specials, can give a slight push in the right direction.

My go to stores are Trader Joes, Whole foods, Sprouts, Natural Grocers, and Central Market.

Happy Creating!!
